St Meriadoc School, Cornwall

Word of Mouth marketing! This project came to us via a recommendation from another customer. During site discussions there was a clear shopping list of items the School would like. The list included a Fort, Play Boat, Stage and a Shelter on a good quality safety surface. The budget was good but we weren't sure that we could do everything within that figure. We really don't like being beaten so we put on our thinking caps and talked through ideas with the whole team here at OPP HQ. The result of those discussions were that we were able to simplify…

Bishop Bronescombe School – Installation Revisit

Did a little site revisit recently. This beast is nearly two years old and gets some serious use. Over 300 children attend this school. During break times it is so swamped with children playing on it you can barely see the equipment. It still looks so good! Awesome! If you have an exciting project in mind, Outdoor Play People would love to get involved, why not get in touch and discuss how we might help turn your project into reality.

Lanner nr Redruth, Cornwall

Another before and after success story! We recently called in at Lanner and visited a play area that we installed and signed off last Autumn; we like to pop by after a couple of months have passed and check all is well. The site originally had a Junior Tower System that had definitely been new for far too long. Parish Councils are often working to tight budgets and where possible we aim to repair and refurbish existing equipment if safe and cost effective to do so. In this case however the Junior System - and as the customer suspected -…

Landewednack Parish Council – Before and After

The lovely people at Landewednack Parish Council were after some play equipment to replace their rather tired equipment that had served the community well for many years. The Council requested something similar to what they already had (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) but an updated version. Bright colours were on the wish list and something extra for the younger children to play on. With a comfortable budget and a sensible wish list we went to work designing something for this beautiful location. Mainly because of its coastal setting and the nearby Lifeboat Station we suggested theming the new…

New Play Equipment South Petherwin

We recently installed a new play area for the lovely people at South Petherwin Parish Council. Here we have a Mini Pick n Mix unit that is going to keep the little ones challenged until they are ready to move up to the big stuff. We then have the Traversing Wall/Spiders Web net which compliments their existing Climbing Frame with some additional activities. There are some fun rubber mushrooms, a Sailing Boat and a large Climbing Net which we bought in and installed for them. We are totally honest about where our products come from and this customer knew who…

Big Red Tommy Play Tractor

Cartole Cottages near Pelynt in Cornwall bought one of our Tractors which they named Big Red. Sam from the office caught up with Mr Bowyer recently to ask him a few questions about the equipment they bought. (Q) What first attracted you to our play tractor? (A) We thought it was unusual. (Q) Why did you choose a tractor? (A) Our cottages are in a rural setting surrounded by fields, so we thought it was appropriate. (Q) What made you choose Outdoor Play People as your chosen supplier? (A) You're a local firm and the equipment is well built. (Q)…
